Denise Gendron
Denise Gendron lives in Springfield, Massachusetts and loves that her greatest passions (music, sf, and teaching) can vacation together at cons! Music has been in her life since toddler-hood and teaching started while still in elementary school (pity the younger cousins and neighborhood children). Science fiction entered with a friend's recommendation of Star Trek (classic, first-run), followed by reading every spaceship-labeled book in the library (A is for Asimov, B is for Bradley . . .).
A late bloomer, it was MASS Filkers who gave Denise the emotional support needed to finally share the music she had been writing for decades. It was NESFAns who inspired her to start her own publishing company (Destiny Press, primarily for string instruction and performance books). It was the "why not?" of the sf community which resulted in two (so far) self-produced CD's and a flurry of performances on voice, guitar, and cello.

This is Denise's first invitation to be a Guest of Honor and she is thrilled! She hopes you will find your way to the filk rooms and share the joy.
